Brad Rosely  |  CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL

Brad Rosely co-founded Third Coast Development in 2004 and has been helping shape the company ever since with a rare mix of vision, instinct, and practicality. A former golf professional turned real estate operator, Brad has always had an eye for nuance. He sees not only what a property is, but what it could become. That ability has served him well across years of commercial brokerage, development, and deal-making.

Brad graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in banking, then built a career around commercial real estate transactions and relationships. He brings a grounded understanding of value, space, and market dynamics, along with a steady focus on structuring deals that work for everyone involved. Whether the opportunity is large, small, simple, or complicated, Brad is known for bringing energy, creativity, and a relationship-first mindset to the table.

At Third Coast, Brad has helped lead the company through more than two decades of growth, redevelopment, and investment activity, with a focus on finding overlooked opportunities and turning them into successful projects. Outside of work, Brad is devoted to his family and remains a serious fan of professional baseball.

Dave Levitt  |  CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL

Dave Levitt co-founded Third Coast Development in 2004 and has spent more than two decades helping build it into one of West Michigan’s most entrepreneurial development firms. He brings more than 25 years of experience in business leadership, strategy, operations, and real estate, along with a talent for spotting opportunity early and finding practical ways to bring ideas to life.

Before launching Third Coast, Dave built his career inside major companies including Steelcase and Amoco, where he held roles in finance, marketing, strategic planning, and business unit leadership. That background gave him a strong foundation in structured thinking, resource management, and execution. Then, like many entrepreneurs, he decided the best next step was to jump in fully and build something of his own.

Since founding Third Coast, Dave has helped lead over $250 million in development activity and more than $500 million in real estate transactions, with a particular focus on urban infill, redevelopment, and the creative use of federal, state, and local incentive programs. He is also a licensed real estate agent in Michigan and an active partner in several operating businesses, including hospitality and restaurant ventures, helping oversee an organization with more than 100 employees and over $15 million in annual revenue.

Dave earned both his MBA and BA from the University of Michigan and also holds a Certificate in Logistics Management from Michigan State University. He is a lifelong learner, an applied strategy enthusiast, and someone who would almost always rather be in a coffee shop conversation than wearing a tie. A Chicago native, Dave is a proud father, a self-described mediocre husband, and an essential part of the energy and personality behind Third Coast.

Max Benedict  |  PRINCIPAL

Max Benedict joined Third Coast Development in 2006 with a finance degree from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and the kind of energy that made it clear he was not going to stay in an entry-level role for long. He started by supporting proposals, site analysis, marketing efforts, and project pursuits, then steadily grew into a leadership role by becoming one of the firm’s go-to people for incentives, relationships, and getting complicated deals across the finish line.

Over the years, Max has played a major role in more than $250 million of development projects and has helped secure over $80 million in city, state, and federal incentives. He has built strong working relationships across local and state government and has become a key part of how Third Coast navigates public-private partnerships, redevelopment opportunities, and layered capital stacks. In plain terms, if a project needs creativity, persistence, and a little strategic arm-twisting, Max is usually in the middle of it.

His work has earned recognition from the Grand Rapids Business Journal, which named him to its 40 Under Forty list in 2016, 2017, and 2022. Along the way, he has also started and sold multiple companies, served in leadership roles across different businesses, and become a full partner at Third Coast, which was probably either a very smart move or a very questionable one depending on the day.

Outside of work, Max enjoys time with his wife and four kids, especially on the water, and has never shown much interest in having only one thing going on at a time.
